Fairy-Tale Park of Writer P. Mašiotas

Here, in a wooden house with an attic under a gabled roof and large porch built in 1937 the creator of the fundamental principles of the national school, pedagogue, writer of children’s literature, translator, public figure, member of Aušra movement, vice-minister of education Pranas Mašiotas used to spend summers.

Throughout his life Mašiotas wrote more than 30 books to children, and more than one our generation grew up with them. In 2004–2005 the society organized two nation-wide outdoor festivals of sculptors in commemoration of the centenary of regaining the Lithuanian press where a sculpture was created.
